  • Excavation of fourteen trial pits; locations were selected at key strategic positions around the site and trial pits generally extended down to depths of between 2.0 and 3.0m below ground level.
  • Retrieval of representative soil samples, PID Screening and laboratory analysis of a representative selection of samples.
  • Waste Classification and Categorisation using the HazWasteOnline tm Tool and Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) requirements.
  • Reporting (preparation of Soil Waste Classification Report containing recommendations for the management of material to be excavated at the site

Soil Waste Classification – Collen Construction

Project Summary/Goals

Verde Environmental Consultants was commissioned by Collen Construction Limited to carry out a site investigation and waste classification of soil material in situ at a proposed redevelopment site located on lands at Killarney Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow (also referred to as Bray Primary Care Centre).  The prime objective of the investigation was to facilitate completion and presentation of a waste classification assessment of soils to be excavated as part of the redevelopment of the site and to determine the appropriate off-site disposal/recovery options for these soils.
