ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT
An environmental risk assessment allows you to assess the likelihood of your business causing harm to the environment. This includes describing potential hazards and impacts before taking precautions to reduce the risks.
Five Stages to Undertaking Environmental Risk Assessment
Stage 1
Identify any hazards – i.e. possible causes of harm.
Stage 2
Describe the harm the hazards identified may cause.
Stage 3
Evaluate risk of occurrence and identify precautions.
Stage 4
Record results and implement precautions.
Stage 5
Review at regular intervals.
